The City Council of Madrid convenes, through the General Directorate of Commerce and Entrepreneurship, the SECOND edition of the MAD + Awards, which will grant 24,000 euros to the best projects. With a first prize of €20,000 and a second prize of €4,000. In Addition, the organization will give visibility to the 10 finalist projects through a public event in which each of the ten projects can be presented to members of the social entrepreneurship ecosystem and to the general public. The deadline for submission of applications is open until August 20, 2018. The valuation criteria for the selection of the 10 finalist projects for the award of the prize are:

1. Created social Value or capacity of the project to transform the society, to produce changes that imply a solution/improvement in the structures and/or the behaviors of the collective that benefits.
2. Origin of the idea, evolution and actions carried out by the promoters to implant the project in a way that contributes to solve the problems detected in origin.
3. Ethical Principles governing the management of the company and actions driven by the same direction to create social awareness among its employees, customers, investors, etc.
4. Capacity of the business model to grow and internationalize. Elements of the project that favor their reproduction on a larger scale.
