Luis Botella and Luis Ángel Saúl have published an article in Revista de Psicoterapia examining generative artificial intelligence in case conceptualisation and clinical supervision within Integrative Constructivist Therapy.
The paper describes the fuzzy cognitive map model of human problem formation and resolution (MCB-FRP in Spanish) and presents the Therapy Process Navigator, a conversational system designed to assist narrative synthesis, therapy planning and clinical communication.
In supervision, such tools may help professionals examine their reasoning, consider alternative formulations and reflect on their decisions.
The authors place therapist responsibility, traceability and the therapeutic relationship at the centre of this integration. The article opens questions for professional training and clinical research into the use of AI within a constructivist framework.
