Spain’s State Research Agency (AEI) has awarded funding to the project “Technological development and mathematical modelling of the anticipation system for psychological change” (PID2024-157970NB-C21), led by principal investigator Luis Ángel Saúl Gutiérrez.
Known as PSYCHANGE in the group’s documentation, the project was awarded under the 2024 call for Knowledge Generation Projects and Actions for Predoctoral Researcher Training. It has a budget of €37,500 and runs from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2028.
The funding supports GICUNED’s research into how people anticipate the consequences of change within their personal meaning systems. The work combines constructivist assessment, mathematical modelling and software development, with PsychLab as one of its research infrastructures.
This new phase will advance technological development, model formalisation and initial evaluation, strengthening collaboration across psychology, mathematics and computer science.
