The Cyprus Red Cross Society (CRCS) is the largest humanitarian non-governmental organisation in Cyprus, working to prevent and alleviate human suffering, protect life and health, and uphold human dignity without discrimination. Guided by the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, CRCS combines strong local presence with international credibility. With nationwide headquarters and local branches, the CRCS mobilises over 1,500 trained volunteers, supported by specialised staff and robust governance structures ensuring accountability and transparency. As a member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, it serves as an auxiliary to public authorities while remaining independent. The CRCS operates across emergency response, health and social care, psychosocial support, First Aid, youth engagement, and social inclusion.
