III  International Conference on Guidance at University

"CALIBRATING COMPASSES IN THE FACE OF UNCERTAINTY"

Madrid 6, 7 and 8 September 2023

With the aim of promoting debate on various aspects of university guidance and contributing to its scientific and practical advancement, the following topics –distributed in three main stages– are proposed: prior to, during and after university studies.  We consider that guidance should be addressed to all people, from a participatory and equitable approach, guaranteeing equal opportunities and results in all areas of human development, and avoiding any type of discrimination. Therefore, no explicit mention of specific groups is made in the themes.  The proposals focused on guidance for vulnerable groups or people with other special circumstances will be included in one of the three large thematic areas of the conference, depending on the stage that they address or to whom they are aimed.

Proposals for symposia/papers/posters can address any of these topics:

GUIADANCE TO ACCESS UNIVERSITY

  • Guidance in Compulsory Secondary Education, Baccalaureate and Vocational Training for the transition to university.
  • Coordination between the Guidance Services in Secondary /Vocational Training / Adult Education Centres and Universities.
  • Access course for adults over 25 and over 40/45.
  • Service Learning and Volunteering activities that contribute to the development of the students’ careers and their subsequent access to university.
  • Guidance and counselling for families.

COUNSELLING DURING UNIVERSITY STUDIES 

  • Welcome Communities
  • Tutorial Action Plans at the University
  • Mentoring Programmes
  • Personal and Academic Guidance at the University
  • Career / Vocational Guidance
  • Service Learning and Volunteering activities that contribute to the career development of students
