Elena Prous (Madrid, 1984) holds a degree in Nursing. After acquiring tetraplegia, she redirected her academic path to study Anthropology and complete a postgraduate degree in creative writing.

She delivers training sessions and consultancy on disability and functional diversity, approaching them through a range of methodologies, including performance, writing, and cultural mediation.

In 2023–24, she was an artist-in-residence at the CRA (Centro de Residencias Artísticas) at Matadero Madrid with the project Sintomatologías: Aprendizajes espásticos. She was also part of Caravana de centáurides, a collective artistic residency at Nau Ivanov within a European programme focused on the performing arts and diversity.

She is currently developing a performance-based research project on fear and disability. She writes at Laincontenida.com and shares her work on Instagram as @coja_indigna.
