UM-Flint English students bring Shakespeare into 2025<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mary Jo Kietzman, member of SHAKREL, helps her students at UM-Flint students to write plays inspired by Titus Andronicus<\/em>, Henry IV<\/em>, Hamlet<\/em>,\u00a0Twelfth Night<\/em>, and the Winter\u2019s Tale<\/em>\u00a0that featured young people using all their strength, insight, and originality to stop violence, to mend divides between rich and poor, and to act mercifully when elders ask for forgiveness; Kietzman shows that her students’ theatrical adaptation of Shakespeare encouraged reflection on different ways of understanding spirituality.<\/p>\n\n\n
