This protest was repeated in 1994.<\/p><p>Our cozy little Pride, originally attended by some fifteen hundred onlookers, has blossomed into an almost week-long, colorful celebration that now attracts over 100,000 guests from all over the world. Reykjav\u00edk Pride is the largest annual event in Iceland and has sometimes been called \u201cthe world\u2019s biggest small Pride!\u201d<\/p><p>Reykjav\u00edk Pride is organized and held by the non-profit organization,\u00a0<em>Hinsegin dagar \u00ed Reykjav\u00edk &#8211; Reykjav\u00edk Pride.\u00a0<\/em><\/p><p><strong>Volunteer Position\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p>As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on volunteers to help with the many tasks that need to be completed during Pride Week. We operate a Pride Centre where events are hosted throughout the week, as well as a Pride Shop where pride merchandise is sold. Volunteers are needed to help run events, assist in the shop, and support visitors at the Pride Centre.\u00a0<\/p><p>On Saturday, August 8th, the Pride Parade takes place, and we need volunteers to help with setup and to assist with parade patrol. This is a great opportunity to be involved in the festivities that Reykjav\u00edk Pride has to offer.<\/p><p>Applicants must be over 20 years of age.<\/p><p>We offer lunch during Pride week.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Location<\/strong><\/p><p>Reykjav\u00edk, Iceland<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Visa requirements<\/strong><\/p><p>Volunteers coming from outside the Schengen area are responsible for arranging their own visa requirements. Information about residence permits for volunteers can be found here:<a href=\"https:\/\/island.is\/en\/permits-for-volunteers\">\u00a0https:\/\/island.is\/en\/permits-for-volunteers<\/a><\/p><p>All volunteers from outside the Schengen Area must be able to provide proof of their stay in Iceland. This includes flight tickets to and from Iceland, as well as an agreement with Reykjav\u00edk Pride covering the duration of the volunteering programme.\u00a0<\/p><p>Please note that if you have been travelling within the Schengen Area prior to arriving in Iceland, you must ensure that you comply with the rule of not staying more than 90 days within a 180-day period. If a volunteer reaches the 90-day limit, they are required to apply for a residence permit for volunteering.
