Abstract
This paper explores the implications of multi-realizability and the multiverse for the ontology of consciousness. Using Parfit’s teleportation thought experiment as a starting point, we argue that consciousness cannot be confined to a single world. We propose that our sphere of influence as conscious agents extends beyond the confines of our immediate experiences, challenging traditional views on causality and the linearity of time.
