This mechanism is called \u201ccap and trade\u201d. Many of the most polluting productive sectors are included in this market; if they exceed their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions limit, there are obliged to participate in the purchase of emission rights. Thus, the market must mean an economic incentive for the reduction of GHGs, and the price plays a decisive role that affects States, companies, and consumers. The regulator must ensure that a sufficient price is maintained so that, in the market, the emission right achieves the purpose for which it was created, the reduction of GHG emissions and the adoption of cleaner technologies.<\/p><p>The course will start on the 1st\u00a0of September 2023.
