Como resultado de la colaboraci\u00f3n entre la UNED<\/strong> y la empresa TECNATOM<\/strong>, en el marco de un proyecto europeo, se desarroll\u00f3 hace unos a\u00f1os el MOOC \u201cIntroducing Safety Culture and its Application to the Nuclear Field\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La primera edici\u00f3n de este curso se ofreci\u00f3 en forma de tres NOOCs independientes<\/strong> (nano MOOCs), dentro de la oferta formativa del proyecto ANNETTE<\/strong> (Advanced Networking for Nuclear Education and Training and Transfer of Expertise<\/em>), coordinado por ENEN<\/strong> (European Nuclear Education Network<\/em>) y financiado por Euratom<\/strong>, programa complementario de investigaci\u00f3n y formaci\u00f3n en el \u00e1mbito nuclear, en el contexto de los proyectos europeos Horizonte 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Las ediciones posteriores se han impartido como una contribuci\u00f3n en especie<\/strong> acordada entre TECNATOM<\/strong> y la UNED<\/strong>, con el objetivo de asegurar la sostenibilidad<\/strong> de esta iniciativa de formaci\u00f3n especializada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Desde julio de 2025, gracias al impulso conjunto de la UNED y TECNATOM (actualmente integrada en Westinghouse) los tres cursos se ofrecen en formato de un \u00fanico MOOC en edici\u00f3n permanente<\/strong> <\/strong>dividido en tres bloques<\/strong> y <\/strong>disponible en UNED Abierta<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El curso introduce el concepto de cultura de seguridad<\/strong>, aplicado posteriormente al campo nuclear<\/strong>, con una parte dedicada al liderazgo para la seguridad<\/strong>. Est\u00e1 dirigido a un p\u00fablico amplio, sin necesidad de conocimientos previos, y acredita 1 cr\u00e9dito ECTS<\/strong>. En el caso de estudiantes de Ingenier\u00eda de la UNED, este cr\u00e9dito se reconoce como cr\u00e9dito de libre configuraci\u00f3n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El MOOC est\u00e1 dirigido por la profesora Mercedes Alonso, de la Escuela T\u00e9cnica Superior de Ingenier\u00eda Industrial<\/strong>, contando con la participaci\u00f3n en su dise\u00f1o metodol\u00f3gico y producci\u00f3n con \u00c1ngeles S\u00e1nchez-Elvira Paniagua<\/strong>, directora de la C\u00e1tedra UNESCO de Educaci\u00f3n a Distancia<\/strong>, aportando su experiencia en innovaci\u00f3n educativa y formaci\u00f3n digital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result of the collaboration between UNED<\/strong> and the company TECNATOM<\/strong>, and within the framework of a European project, the MOOC \u201cIntroducing Safety Culture and its Application to the Nuclear Field\u201d<\/em> was developed a few years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first edition of the course was delivered as three independent NOOCs<\/strong> (nano MOOCs), as part of the training offer of the ANNETTE project<\/strong> (Advanced Networking for Nuclear Education and Training and Transfer of Expertise<\/em>), coordinated by ENEN<\/strong> (European Nuclear Education Network<\/em>) and funded by Euratom<\/strong>, a complementary research and training programme in the nuclear field under the Horizon 2020<\/strong> European framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subsequent editions were offered as an in-kind contribution<\/strong> agreed between TECNATOM<\/strong> and UNED<\/strong>, with the goal of ensuring the sustainability<\/strong> of this specialized training initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since July 2025<\/strong>, thanks to the joint effort of UNED<\/strong> and TECNATOM<\/strong> (now part of Westinghouse<\/strong>), the three courses have been merged into a single MOOC<\/strong>, now available in a permanent edition<\/strong> divided into three modules<\/strong>, and hosted on the UNED Abierta<\/strong> platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course introduces the concept of safety culture<\/strong>, which is then applied to the nuclear field<\/strong>, with a dedicated section on leadership for safety<\/strong>. It is aimed at a broad audience<\/strong>, requires no prior knowledge<\/strong>, and grants 1 ECTS credit<\/strong>. For UNED engineering students<\/strong>, this credit is recognized as an elective (free-choice) credit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MOOC is directed by Professor Mercedes Alonso<\/strong> from the Higher Technical School of Industrial Engineering<\/strong>, and includes the participation of \u00c1ngeles S\u00e1nchez-Elvira Paniagua<\/strong>, Director of the UNESCO Chair in Distance Education<\/strong>, who contributed to the methodological design and production of the course, bringing her expertise in educational innovation and digital learning<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
