aDeNu (Adaptive Dynamic online Educational systems based oN User modelling) is a research and development (R&D) group and it belongs to the Artificial Intelligence Department of the Computer Science School of the\u00a0Spanish National University for Distance Education (UNED)<\/a>. This group is specialized in the\u00a0development of adaptive interfaces through Internet<\/strong>, which intend to reduce the problems of decentralized and non-presential education. These problems depend fundamentally on the quality of the materials and the media used. In addition, this group has worked with and has a special link with the Section of Innovation (Innova Group<\/a>) of\u00a0UNED<\/acronym>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The group\u00a0specialises in the development of adaptive interfaces via Internet\u00a0<\/span>, to help mitigate the problems of decentralised distance learning which critically depends on the quality of materials and media employed. The introduction of Internet in all administrative processes and training has delivered a new framework for knowledge, services and interaction which is often difficult to assimilate. This reveals a growing need to provide solutions tailored to the specific needs of each learner \/ teacher.<\/p>

One of the main aims of the aDeNu group is\u00a0to adapt user interfaces and learning content to the needs of people with functional diversity<\/span>, in a context where Design for All concepts and user experience customisation are complementarily applied.<\/p>

In order to develop adaptive interfaces, the aDeNu group\u00a0has established an operational framework based on user modeling through a combination of machine learning techniques<\/span>\u00a0and has built a multi-agent architecture in which different machine learning algorithms are combined to provide a better response to the user.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
