Boticario has been a Full Professor at the UNED\u2019s <\/span><\/span><\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ia.uned.es\/\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">Artificial Intelligence Department<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span> (Computer Science School) and he has recently been proposed as an honorary collaborator of this department. He was (2018-2022) the previous <\/span><\/span><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/portal-uned-es.translate.goog\/portal\/page?_pageid=93,56499834&amp;_dad=portal&amp;_schema=PORTAL&amp;_x_tr_sch=http&amp;_x_tr_sl=es&amp;_x_tr_tl=en&amp;_x_tr_hl=es\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\">Vice Rector for Digitalization and Innovation at UNED<\/span><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span>, a university he joined in 1990 with a scholarship holder awarded by the Spanish Ministry to support his PhD (FPI PN89) (advisor Prof. Jos\u00e9 Mira at UNED and collaborations with Prof. Tom Mitchell at Carnegie Mellon). Founder and head the aDeNu consolidated research group (ever since 2001), he he has published over 250 research articles and participated in 32 R&amp;D funded projects (Spain, USA, EU). Scientific coordinator in European and National funded projects in the areas of e-learning and e-inclusion. Program Committee member at National and International Conferences. He has chaired high-ranked international Conferences and Workshops and been invited speaker at National and International conferences. Guest editor of National and International journals, he is reviewer of research projects and international JCR highly ranked journals. He has held several positions at UNED in the ICT area (e.g., Director of Innovation, Vice-Principal of Innovation and Technological Development and General Director of the Centre of Innovation and Technological Development). He is coordinator of educational innovation projects within the educational innovation networks at UNED (ever since 2006). He is an Expert Counsellor at the UNED\u2019s Centre for Supporting Students with Disabilities (UNIDIS) and at the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Chair at UNED. <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span>He has been a Member of The .LRN consortium and UNESCO Chair in Distance Education board of directors, <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span>Educational Research and Technology Group (EADTU), Task Force on Education Activities (IEEE CIS standards committee), Task Force on Artificial Intelligence in Education (EADTU)<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span>
